Gerry Pilon is the principal of Salter Pilon Architecture. After joining the firm in 1991, he became a partner in 1998 and has led the firm's growth in undertaking a wide range of healthcare, civic and education projects.
As the firm's principal designer, he has maintained a philosophy of sound innovation balanced by technical excellence, which has been applied to numerous successful projects. This has earned him and the firm a reputation for innovative quality design, overall value and successful project implementation. As an active ‘hands on’ principal, Gerry has also earned a reputation for being able to manage large and complex projects, while providing an unparalleled level of consistent and reliable service. Gerry’s leadership abilities have been demonstrated through his involvement in numerous projects throughout Ontario including the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Phase One Redevelopment, the Ontario Provincial Police General Headquarter, the Bradford West Gwillimbury Leisure Centre, and the Georgian Village Long Term Care campus.
Gerry maintains active involvement in all phases of the firm’s projects, from design through documentation and into construction. He coordinates the efforts of dedicated contract administrators managing document flow and project tracking, thereby ensuring accountability of the project team at all levels.
