Morning light fills Mapleview Elementary with calm, bright spaces that encourage curiosity and belonging. Designed by Salter Pilon Architecture, the new JK–8 school unifies Dunnville’s Fairview Avenue and Grandview Central communities on a single campus focused on wellness and inclusivity. Guided by the Board’s Green School policy, the building incorporates abundant daylight, energy-efficient systems, reflective roofing, and low-VOC materials to support a healthy learning environment.

The program includes flexible classrooms, Kindergarten suites, a special education room with a Snoezelen space, and breakout areas for small-group learning. A double gymnasium with retractable stage welcomes school and community events, while an on-site childcare centre supports families and early learners. Carefully phased construction ensured uninterrupted school operations, resulting in a sustainable, community-centred place for learning.
