A Signature Dining Destination

Copperhorn Meet House is a signature dining destination designed by Salter Pilon Architecture for Great Canadian Entertainment, first introduced at Pickering Casino Resort and later expanded at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto. The restaurant’s identity draws from the rugged beauty and ranching heritage of Alberta’s open landscapes—an homage to copper skies, weathered timber, and the glow of firelight at dusk.

The Design Narrative

The design narrative balances authenticity and refinement. A warm palette of ambers, browns, and beiges anchors the space, supported by tactile materials such as natural wood, blackened steel, and textured stone. Lighting plays a defining role, casting an amber glow through suspended pendants and concealed cove details to create a sense of intimacy and warmth.

Setting the Standard at Pickering

At Pickering, the restaurant set the visual tone for Great Canadian’s hospitality venues—introducing layered materiality, exposed timbers, and communal seating arrangements that fostered both comfort and conviviality.

Evolution at Toronto

When the concept evolved for the larger Toronto resort, its architectural expression became more dramatic: oversized wood beams and a sculptural ceiling added rhythm overhead, while a copper-accented hearth wall and illuminated bar became defining focal points.

A Brand of Warmth and Refinement

Across both properties, Copperhorn achieves the rare balance between atmosphere and operational performance. It translates the spirit of the Canadian West into a refined dining experience—one that welcomes guests into a space of warmth, texture, and story, while establishing a hospitality brand standard now recognized throughout Great Canadian’s resort portfolio.
